Turkish Bursa Black Figs

The Bursa black fig is a medium to large sized fig grown in the Bursa province of Turkey. That region’s favorable climate, blue skies, ample sunshine and clean water produce a fruit that is particularly suitable for export because of its durability, size and long shelf life.

The Bursa black fig has a deliciously honey-like flavour when really tender and mature. With its dark purplish-black colouration, the fruit is ripe when a velvety tenderness can be detected on gentle touch.
