French Green Beans (Haricots Vert)

Haricots Vert are a French variety of green beans. The main difference between haricots vert and regular green beans are their size. The French varietal is long, thin and tender. The flavour is more mild and refined because they are harvested earlier in the season when the beans are younger. Summer is their peak season.
